The Booster drawing is the last Thursday of the month at 12:30 p.m. in the school office.
Volunteers are needed for selling tickets after masses on Saturday evening and Sunday
morning.

A parish catechist is a volunteer who teaches young adults, children or those with
special needs. A volunteer must be available on either of the following: Tuesday evening,
Junior High - 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. or Wednesday afternoons, Elementary classes 2:00 to 3:30
p.m. Those with special needs are scheduled to be taught on a one to one basis. In addition
all catechists are required to attend faculty meetings, catechist formation sessions for
new teachers only, and lesson planning meetings, scheduled as the need arises.
C.C.D. AIDES assist teachers in classrooms or help supervise in the halls etc. on the above days.
C.C.D. OFFICE - filing, collating and typing - assignments will be arranged by the coordinator.

Meets on Sunday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for pre-school children. Teachers and aides are needed.

HSA sponsors, coordinates and arranges many fundraising activities. In addition to the obvious need for financial support of our school expenses, participating in these activities is an important part of our social activities and helps make the "St. Matthias Community."

Chairladies and volunteers at fund raisers receive credit toward the contract. Activities sponsored include flea markets, children's bingo, etc. Meets the third Thursday of every month.

Parents donate time and energy, serving as volunteers in the two libraries of St.
Matthias typing, filing, preparing books for circulation. Volunteers commit themselves
to one morning or afternoon each week from September to June.

Lunch duty involves supervising classes during the lunch period. The lunch session extends from 11:45 to 12:45. Parents must sign in at the office five minutes before the lunch period begins, then go to the assigned area until 12:45.
Parents who volunteer for lunch duty must be able to supervise the same day EVERY WEEK from September to June. In the event the parent is unable to come for lunch duty, the office should be notified as early as possible.
