Acceptable Use Policy

Grades K - 3 Hand-Out

St. Matthias School realizes the value of access to the Internet. It also recognizes the potential for abuse. In an effort to prevent such abuse, all students in grades Kindergarten to 3 are required to read, understand and sign St. Matthias' Acceptable Use Policy (signed by both the student and his/her parent/guardian.) Access to the Internet is a privilege but also carries user responsibility.

Below you will find some simple guidelines that must be followed when a student is using the Internet. Please read this policy with your child very carefully. Upon signing the Policy, you agree to follow the guidelines set forth whenever the Internet is used in school.

Student access to and use of the Internet will be supervised at all times. St. Matthias School uses a filter to block unsuitable Internet sites. However, no filtering method is perfect. You will receive a more detailed description of the guidelines found in this Acceptable Use Policy, feel free to contact the school for answers to these requests.
